I liked Marvel vs. Capcom 3 over 2 for a few reasons.

I just fixed that 4th wall, Deadpool. Thanks for that.
I just fixed that 4th wall, Deadpool. Thanks for that.

1. Writing! Even little things like character quotes after a victory brought a smile to my face. Intro dialogue between certain characters made the game that much more interesting. It made it seem like Marvel really had a hand in making the game, and it shows.  In Marvel vs Capcom 2, you just had a bunch of random characters fighting, with no real story behind it, and they didn’t talk!  SO THANK YOU FRANK TIERI!

2.  Deadpool.  The addition of Deadpool to the roster gave it some serious levity and humor, and gave Capcom a chance to really have some fun.  Deadpool’s hyper is my 2nd favorite in the game.  Have you seen his taunt?

3.  The whole game felt like a comic book.  The game’s presentation just felt like a comic book, which totally felt right.  I mean, Marvel IS a comic book company.  Hell, it even came with comic book cover art!  Marvel Vs Capcom 2…was just a game, and that was it.  Bleh.
