Just let me make one thing abundantly clear. SSB’s a group of POC’s and has been from the get-go. You bet we stand by #blacklivesmatter and any group that’s trying to shoot for an anti-racist world. It’s about damn time. What still gets me is that it took the deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Trayvon Martin, Philando Castle, and numerous others for people to wake up and see the net of systemic racism that’s been holding down people for YEARS.

What can you do to help? I’ve donated to a couple of crowdfunded bail funds and such and there are numerous ways to donate and get involved.

As for protests, so far the San Diego protests have been peaceful for the most part. La Mesa is showing signs of healing after the initial riots.

If you do decide to protest, do so safely.

I honestly don’t know what’s next for us. I’ve been in quarantine for the past 2.5 months now and it’s scary. Sure things are opening up gradually and such, but COVID-19 is still very much a threat. The team members are all working and living in varying degrees of lockdown, though I’m due to go back to the office real soon. Probably for a few days out of the week.

2020 is a year of surprises and to be perfectly frank, I don’t know what’s going to happen next. We’ve gotta stay the course, fam.

Mark and I are collabing with our friends in Indonesia for some more art, and we’re working on Volume 3 and 4 still. It’s gonna be big.
