May the 4th Be Sexily w/You!
It’s been quite awhile since I’ve last posted – forgive me for I am a busy human being! I’ve actually been meaning to make this fashion post for awhile, but I’m glad I waited for today – because this Aussie based site has been posting ALL DAY yesterday and now it’s my turn (darn you international time zones)! WARNING: This post is about women’s clothing – but I do suppose it serves as fan service to you dudes.
When it comes to pop culture and clothing – I’m not very fond of marrying the two unless it’s great. Do not give me a hefty Hanes T w/a random screen print of Bart Simpson’s head. Give me a Bart Simpson cropped sweater/knicker shorts/thigh high ensemble! Don’t give me a Pokemon hoodie, give me Pokeball Pasties! There are plenty of other examples, but my favorite comes from the brand Black Milk Clothing.
Black Milk specializes in unique leggings, bodysuits (see image above), and body-con dresses (that’s super tight dresses for those not in the know). What they’ve gained insane popularity over is, not just their alternative sexy apparel, but their ability to incorporate geekdom w/style. The first time I heard of Black Milk, it was because of their Star Wars body suits (which is why they spent all day yesterday posting photos of girls in their Star Wars body suits and dresses on their FB – boys prepare to yourself for the nosebleeds! Don’t forget to click “See More Recent Stories” for all the Star Wars related posts). Star Wars isn’t the only print they’ve used – they’ve also done circuit board leggings and a Tetris body suit and leggings.
Black Milk is still a small company, their production and collections don’t come out as quickly as F21 can churn out knockoffs from their sweat factories (whoops! Did I say that?). This means a lot of their products are sold out by the time you save up enough money to purchase. But if you’re really interested in something, you can keep checking back to see if they re-stocked or even came up w/more interesting patterns. I’m still hoping for a Power Rangers body suit – but I guess a cotton tank dress will suffice.
And just for more Star Wars Day fun, I give you Queen Amidala as a stripper in the movie Closer. You can thank The Waffles Girls for this brilliance!
