From the CEO’s desk

Hey howdy SSB readers, it’s your CEO twitchy back at you with some updates!

  • First off, we’ve got our first copies of the SSB Zine #1 off to the press!  This very very limited run is gonna be available to only a few people, as we’re going to make a few tweaks here and there before going for the official release.   Street date for the first batch is gonna be in September, so be on the lookout!
  • Hajimete No Gal’s a fanservicey anime, but the main character’s girl is so nice and sweet that it’s a breath of fresh air.  She totally took the “Bitchy GAL” stereotype and turned it on its head.  Lovely.
  • I’m trying to gather up some scripts for the next batch of comics.  Ivan actually wrote a comic involving Josh and Jimmy that’s got idols.  It’s gonna be deep trash.
  • The Ducktales reboot is really good.  Really really good.  Watch it!

Childhood Rebooted

reboot

Today it was announced that 3 classic 80’s cartoons would be rebooted for the 21st century: Inspector Gadget, Danger Mouse, and Ducktales.

Both Inspector Gadget and Danger Mouse will premiere on Netflix with the prior debuting in a few weeks on March 27th with brand new CGI-animation (click here for a short sneak peek) and the latter debuting in Spring 2016. British comedian Stephen Fry will voice Colonel K on Danger Mouse.

As for Ducktales, Disney XD will be relaunching the series in 2017 allowing a whole new generation of children to “WooHoo!” along side their parents.

In the meantime, let’s enjoy the classic opening themes for each respective show.
