I’m on a dance punk kick since last night – let me have this! You see, I felt my post on !!! did not do the genre justice. Even though !!! is one of the recommended bands to listen to when it comes to this genre, they aren’t my favorite. I’ve always preferred Yeah Yeah Yeahs, LCD Soundsystem, Cut Copy, Hot Chip, Does It Offend You Yeah?, Death From Above 1979, and Klaxons. I either go hard w/the dance punk or sway more electronic and nu disco. !!! is too much of the earlier sound, which isn’t bad, I just felt like every band sounded like them in early 2000s (i.e. Hot Hot Heat).

For an example of something a little “harder” that I do like, and in keeping faith to you nerd heads, I have included this video from Hadouken! If you don’t get that reference, then obviously you’re not a real nerd.
